Process Controls Engineer

Our client is a highly regarded and premier manufacturer of one-of-a-kind paper, fine stationery and nonwovens.  The Process Control Engineer will join an extremely collaborative and energetic team and will have the opportunity to enhance skills while working on the successful production of an iconic product.

 

The Process Control Engineer serves as Project Manager, responsible to design, plan, estimate costs and manage control systems projects. This includes supervision of project installations, and the direction of personnel to accomplish required tasks for improvements to controls-related systems and equipment to meet the needs of the Company. This position also assists Operations and Maintenance Managers with control systems maintenance support, process efficiency problems, and troubleshooting, all to minimize downtime and optimize production yields.

 

Skills / Experience / Knowledge

  • 4+ years experience in process controls and data analysis systems
  • 2+ years experience and proven ability in project management including managing budgets
  • Knowledge and experience with Controls Engineering of state-of-the-art and legacy hardware and software, such as Seimens APACS, Rockwell Automation, and Q-Mation Wonderware
  • Strong programming skills applied to control systems, PLC’s and drives
  • Knowledge and experience in networking, server and database architectures
  • Background in paper making processes is a plus
  • Positive interpersonal skills in verbal communication, in written documents and in group interactions
  • Ability to provide off-hours coverage (nights and weekends) as necessary to assure process control systems are able to support manufacturing operations
  • Ability to pass and maintain Security Clearance

 

Education

  • Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Engineering
